The diamond was on view at the Metropolis Museum. The diamond was claimed to have once belonged to Kublai Khan. Jimmy Olsen was sent to cover a story on the fabled diamond. As Jimmy took a photo of the diamond, the flash caused a glare causing Jimmy to wake up in the 13th century Asia as Marco Polo.
