Sviksemi means "treachery." Doctor Doom kidnapped a dwarven blacksmith to create a hammer to rival Mjolnir. For his torture, the dwarf bled a curse into the weapon, causing anyone who uses it to be betrayed.

Svikesmi is first seen in Dungeons of Doom #1 by Philip Kennedy Johnson and Benjamin Percy.
