Overview
The Tantive IV is a Corellian Corvette officially used on diplomatic missions by the royal family of Alderaan and due to the sympathies of the royal family also for use by the Rebellion.
Development
It is interesting to note that the design was a rejected one for the Millennium Falcon, due to it being too much like other craft in movies and television at the time and yet was used as one of two ships in the iconic opening scene of A New Hope.
