The Maybe Machine
A portal to parallel worlds of infinite possibilities designed by Crystal Man of Mystery Incorporated.
Built by Crystal Man of Mystery Incorporated, the Maybe Machine is a portal to parallel worlds of infinite possibilities. The team did explore the many possibilities each world had to offer. In one world, the team explored an alternate reality where they had switched powers with each other. In another world, they explored a an alternate reality ruled by the Soviets as they saw their counterparts The Mystery Collective.
Some point later, a disguised Shaft from the mainstream Image Universe broke into the Mystery Mile, the secret headquarters of Mystery Incorporated, through the Maybe Machine. After a clash with Kid Dynamo, Shaft managed to trap him into a modified digital-audial transfer device as he returned to his universe with proof of another plane of existence. Realizing that their teammate has been kidnapped, Mystery Incorporated boldly ventures the Maybe Machine to rescue Kid Dynamo.
Soon after the departure of Mystery Incorporated, the Tomorrow Syndicate trace the energy signature of some advance weapons from another world to the Mystery Mile. The Tomorrow Syndicate soon discovers the Maybe Machine and decide to venture into the portal. They were completely unaware that The Fury observed their departure. Once inside the Maybe Machine, the Tomorrow Syndicate encounters the Victory Vanguard, a huge complex floating inter-dimensional space, world of the evil counterparts Tomorrow Gang, a world devastated by nuclear holocaust, a world ruled by an alien bear, and many worlds inside Alternity until they arrive in the Image Universe.

N.B. [Nota Bene] = Alan Moore's limited series 1963 was an affectionate & energetic parodic riff on Marvel Comics of the 1960s and 1970s -- for example, The Maybe Machine was predominantly a well-done parody of the Negative Zone Portal invented by Reed Richards/The Fantastic Four.
