Undernet
A kind of Darknet that incites people to kill.
The Undernet is the name that a group of five teenagers gave to a hidden architecture of the Internet, in 1999. These computer enthusiasts accidentally discovered an access to a malevolent force coming from the Internet that seems to live under the Internet.

When a person accesses the Undernet with an access code and a password, they are immediately possessed and unable to take their eyes off what they see. The more the person is exposed, the more the evil force takes hold of them and the more they will want to kill, without being able to control themselves.
In fact, the way the brain perceives Undernet creates a psychoactive hallucinatory effect, putting the person into a trance-like state. In that moment, whatever exists on the other side begins attempting to establish a connection. If the connection succeeds, its presence starts to be felt. And if something from the other side crosses over to the person, they vanish.
When a person is newly affected by the effects of the Undernet, it is sometimes possible to save them from these effects before they become permanent. The person must undergo a sort of exorcism, the idea being to try to overload their senses, to shake their mind so that it cannot process what they have seen in depth. Loud, upbeat music, a repetitive scrolling of positive images, can sometimes bring the person back to reality.
Gabriel Winter is the one who went the furthest in the viewing and his hair turned gray instantly afterwards, at 17 years old. If the Undernet becomes known and accessible to the population, the end of the world is assured. This is why, at that time, the 5 teenagers joined forces with Gregory Bell, the founder of the Angel search tool, to plug this breach forever.
