Overview

Fearing no known weapon could stop the evil witch Zamora, a new weapon was forged containing the essence of Oz. It was used by a warrior to kill Zamora. Once the witch was dead, the council of Oz feared what would happen if the weapon would fall into evil hands. It was seperated into three parts and moved to different regions of Oz. Almost all reference to it was destroyed.

Somehow, Dorothy Gale ended up with the handle of the sword, which was brought to her by Toto.
