Located on Zamaron in Space Sector 1418, the Central Battery houses the power source of the Star Sapphire Corps - Prince Khufu and Chay-ara (the original forms of Hawkman and Hawkgirl) encased in crystal, locked in a lovers embrace for all eternity. Zamaron is also where Star Sapphires will take female prisoners (such as female Sinestro Corps members) to be encased in violet crystals and be converted to the Star Sapphire Corps.

During the Blackest Night, the Black Lantern Corps destroyed the Central Battery by ripping out the eternal love - Khufu and Chay-ara - that powers the Star Sapphire Corps. In the aftermath of the Blackest Night, the Zamarons rebuilt the Central Power Battery and attempted to use the Predator as its power source. However, Carol Ferris realized that, like all Guardian technology, the Power Battery need only the belief in its power to collect and concentrate love from living beings in the universe. With this faith, the Zamaron Queen Aga'po gave her life force to charge the Central Battery and restore the Star Sapphire Corps.
