Adam Hughes is a prolific cover artist and his works can be seen in such titles as * Wonder Woman V2 (1987), Catwoman, Justice League of America, Tomb Raider, Star Wars Legacy and currently in Zatanna. Hughes began his comic career drawing The Maze Agency for Comico, and has both written and drawn several other titles including Gen 13 Ordinary Heroes*.

Adam Hughes is particularly noted for drawing his female characters as both strong and athletic, as well as beautiful and feminine. This depiction of female characters pretty much defines the contemporary idea of Good Girl Art.

As proof of his undeniable appeal, Hughes' personal sketchbook (from 2000-2001) sold for $11,200 on eBay during October 2007. The book contained 61 pages of concept art and high-quality drawings .

Personal Life

In August 2010, Allison Sohn (Adam Hughes' longtime companion, convention booth wrangler, and artist in her own right) announced that she and Hughes would be getting married. On September 1, 2010, the couple made it official by exchanging a replica of the One Ring from the Lord of the Rings novels in the state of Georgia.
