Boris Vallejo was born in Peruvia, but emigrated to the USA in his early twenties. He began painting at the age of thirteen. Along with his depictions of fantasy figures and scenarios - with an emphasis on muscular and athletic female figures - Vallejo has also painted a vast amount of comic book characters, including Rogue, Wolverine, Venom, Dr Doom and Ghost Rider.
