Founded by Roger and Pat Lee, Dreamwave was recognized by it's manga-influenced style. Originally an imprint of Image Comics, it became independent in 2002.
It is most known for producing The Transformers Generation 1 and Transformers: Armada comics. Dreamwave also known for their freelance work on covers, inks, colors and lettering.
In 2005, after some troubles and legal disputes, Dreamwave declared bankruptcy. Later that year, Christian Dery bought all of the company's assets in a bankruptcy auction.
