Biography
Harold "Fred" Fredericks, Jr.has been the artist of the newspaper strip "Mandrake the Magician" since 1965. Since the death of the strip's creator Lee Falk in 1999, he has also been the writer of the strip. From 1995-2000, he inked the Sunday page of Lee Falk's other newspaper strip, "The Phantom".
In addition to that, he has been a frequent artist for US comic book, mainly as an inker. He has primarily worked for Gold Key (in the 1960's) and Marvel and DC Comics (both in the 1980's and 1990's).
