Proper Name: 藤本 弘 (Fujimoto Hiroshi)

Originally established as part of the legendary mangaka duo Fujiko Fujio with Motoo Abiko, towards the end of his life they ended the partnership and their works have been credited to the individual authors ever since with the rare early collaborative works still credited to both.

Fujimoto was responsible for Doraemon, the most popular franchise of the original shared pen-name and one of the most historically popular franchises in Japan. Most of his works were like Doraemon and aimed at elementary school kids but in his long and active career he did some one-shots in various seinen magazines as well.
