James Lawrence Fletcher was an animator with Disney Studios beginning in 1954. He was an animator with Warner Bros from 1958 to 1964 and then a lay-out artist for Hanna-Barbera from 1968 to 1974.
He was active as a comic book artist for Western Publishing in the first half of the 1960s. He drew stories with Disney's 'Donald Duck' and Hanna-Barbera's 'The Jetsons'. Between 1963 and 1968 he drew a great many stories with 'Donald Duck' for the Disney Studios, but also 'Mickey Mouse', 'Chip 'n' Dale', 'Br'er Rabbit' and many 'Mad Madam Mim & Magica the Spell' stories.
