Jim Simon, the son of Joe Simon, grew up surrounded by comic book writers, artists, and publishers. Influenced by the creative and business world of his father's studios, Jim has written novels, comics, children's books, nonfiction books on comic book history, and more. His work has been published by Marvel Entertainment, DC Entertainment, Titan Publishing, Abrams ComicArts, Heritage Magazine for the Intelligent Collector, Alter Ego, and elsewhere. He appeared in Marvel's documentary film Captain America: 75 Heroic Years and was involved in shooting a segment of the Discovery Channel's Marvel Super-Heroes' Guide to NYC. Additionally, he has been involved in licensing and independent publishing. He created ShieldMaster, among other heroes and titles. His work has been published by both French and Japanese publishers.
