Career
John Broome started his writing career as an author of science fiction stories. He eventually moved into comic books after prompting by his former agent and friend, Julius Schwartz. Broome's career at what DC Comics spanned from 1946 to 1970, wherein Broome wrote for numerous heroes. Broome even had a had in the creation of numerous DC heroes like, the Guardians of the Universe, Per Degaton, Detective Chimp, Captain Cold, and the Elongated Man.
Personal Life
After leaving the comic book industry, Broome spent some years in Japan teaching English. Broome died in 1999 in Thailand.
