The strengths of Lau's work lie in not only realistically drawn figures, but attention to drawing scenery and set objects. His more recent and popular works include collaborations with Kevin Smith on the Bionic Man and The Green Hornet. The Green Hornet lost Kevin Smith as a writer after ten issues but Lau stayed on the creative team for another six, contributing the same explosive pencil work.
