Julie Michel was born in Greeley, Colorado in 1959 and studied at the Corcoran School of Art. She made her comics coloring debut in 1986 on Fashion in Action, written and illustrated by her close friend John Snyder. Other comics credits include the three-issue Winterworld mini-series, which was illustrated by Jorge Zaffino. Michel also works as a sculptor and hopes, in the future, to work in children's book illustration.
