Kelly Hu was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. on February 13, 1968. The winner of various Miss USA pageants and a keen martial artist.

Hu has acted in a variety of television and movie roles, including Cradle 2 the Grave and The Scorpion King.

Hu appears in X2: X-Men United (2003) as Yuriko Oyama also known as Lady Deathstrike.

Hu voiced Karai in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012).

She plays a role as the villain China White in the comic book based TV show Arrow.

Hu voiced Laira for the animated film Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Hu voiced Ms. Li for the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood.

Hu voiced Lady Shiva in the the game Batman: Arkham Origins and the animated film Batman: Soul of the Dragon.

Hu voiced Ashrah for the animated filme Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match.
