Began his career as an artist in several fanzines before getting his break in 1987 drawing a story for the Harrier Comic's anthology title called, Avalon, which served as a try-out for new artists. A year later in 1988 he did Future Shocks for 2000 AD and went on to do several more of the comic's stories including Strontium Dog and Judge Dredd.
 
He then worked on several more titles such as Sonic the Comic, Digimon for Dark Horse and Billy the Cat in the Beano Book.
