Robert Lawrence Stine, better known as R. L. Stine, is an American novelist and short story writer of children books and horror fiction, and other genre.

Stine is most famous for a series of books of children's horror fiction such as "Fear Street", "Goosebumps", "Mostly Ghostly", "Rotten School" and "The Nightmare Room", as well as his trilogy "Space Cadets".

Stine is married to fellow editor and writer Jane Waldhorn. They have written many novels and short stories together, then mostly credited under the pseudonyms Jovial Bob Stine & June Stine and Bob & Jane Stine respectively. The letter can be found in many comic adaptions of their short stories.
