Career

Shoemaker first became involved in comics in 1982, when he was discovered by Dick Giordano. His first work for DC was published in New Talent Showcase #7. He soon began working as a freelance artist, doing work on DC's Legion of Super-Heroes and Marvel's X-Men titles, among a number of other titles.

Personal Life

Terry Shoemaker was born in Oakland, California. He has at least one sibling, a brother, Greg Shoemaker. He is a self-taught artist, and after graduating from high school sought employment at a commercial art agency before becoming involved in comics. He currently resides in Benicia, California
