Tom Brevoort has worked for Marvel Comics since 1986. Brevoort started as an intern from the University of Delaware and worked his way up to the position of assistant editor and then to full editor. From 2007, he held the title of Executive Editor with Marvel and was responsible for multiple series including New Avengers, Civil War, and Fantastic Four . On January 4, 2011, Brevoort was promoted to Senior Vice President of Publishing of Marvel Comics and is the authority in the company behind Marvel hand books.

Brevoort also serves as editor on a number of titles, such as Avengers, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Iron Man and others.
