In 2007 Cosmic Hobo Productions launched a series of audio dramas, The Scarifyers, following the adventures of Whitechapel police officer Detective Inspector Lionheart (played by Nicholas Courtney, best known as the Brigadier in Doctor Who) and ghost-story novelist Professor Edward Dunning (played by Terry Molloy, who played Davros in Doctor Who) in the late 1930s as they work for Britain's supernatural investigation division, MI-13 (no relation to Captain Britain's MI13). The stories, initially available on CD, were swiftly picked up for broacast by BBC 7. After Courtney's demise in 2011, his character was written out the series, with David Warner joining as Harry "Thumper" Crow, Lionheart's former sergeant.

In 2012, Cosmic Hobo began publishing a comic adaptation of The Scarifyers, starting with their first adventure, The Nazad Conspiracy.
