Raw Studios
Founded by actor/writer/director Thomas Jane and critically acclaimed artist Tim Bradstreet, Raw Studios is an independent producer of sci-fi/horror/crime comics for mature audiences!
Creation

When actor Thomas Jane and illustrator/production designer Tim Bradstreet were promoting director Jonathan Hensleigh's movie adaptation of The Punisher in 2004, Jane pitched an idea to Bradstreet about an idea for a comic book.
Jane, a long-standing reader of comics, had previously been in a car crash. Drugged up on Vicodin to kill the pain, the actor experienced vivid fever nightmares about "horrible alien deathspiders" and from that, the idea for 'Bad Planet' was born. Bradstreet introduced Jane to fellow Eisner Award winner Steve Niles and Raw Studios was founded.

Ran by Jane and Bradstreet - Jane who acts as writer and Bradstreet as illustrator and production designer - Niles went his own way shortly after, however the business has gone on to create numerous successful titles since his influential work on 'Bad Planet', such as 'Alien Worlds', 'Alien Pig Farm', 'The Lycan' and 'The Dark Country' graphic novel. The company also has another side involved in film production, already notably having produced a movie adaptation of Dark Country.
Raw Entertainment
With Thomas Jane's original career within the film industry and his interest in bringing comic books and their characters to life on the big screen, it was only natural that Raw Studios would expand into the movie industry, but Raw Entertainment's foray into film has happened probably a lot more quickly than anticipated.
Having already portrayed Marvel's vigilante, the Punisher in 2004, Jane also previously campaigned to play Jonah Hex but lost the role to actor Josh Brolin. However he instead went on to provide the voice acting talent for DC's Jonah Hex animated series.
Meanwhile the production of the Dark Country film (written, directed and acted by Jane), the short film Dirty Laundry (again featuring Jane as vigilante Frank Castle) and many future projects already in the making, including currently in production Western 'Magnificent Death From A Shattered Hand', has ensured Raw's solid competence and success as a multimedia company and now Raw Entertainment exists to bring its own creative talents to a wider audience.
