Ushio Shuppansha
A Japanese publisher with ties to the religious movement, Soka Gakkai.
Though a rather specialized publisher with works outside of manga, it had a long history in manga, serializing many works in their one manga magazine (1965-2001) which has had four different names: Kibō no Tomo (1965-1978), Shōnen World (1978-1979), Comic Tom (1980-1997) and Comic Tom Plus (1998-2001).
Though not all of their material is required to be religious, as Soka Gakkai is a Buddhist religious group, rather appropriately one of the publisher's best known manga was Buddha (one of the epic manga by the most revered man in the industry, Osamu Tezuka). But by far the best-selling series for the publisher was Sangokushi (a manga adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one of the most beloved classic Chinese novels) which ran for sixty volumes and is one of the best-selling manga of all time.
