Overview
The Triton Saga takes place in Aquaman's longest run to date and is written by Peter David and drawn by Jim Calafiore. The main characters involved are Aquaman, Poseidon, Triton and the most of DC's underwater cast.
Plot Summary
The story opens with Aquaman and Triton's first meeting, early in the life of the sea king. Years later we see a duel for the title of King of the Seas between the two characters, forced by Poseidon. Following that Triton's rise to power begins with Poseidon's growing impatience with his son's reckless lifestyle (if such a term can be used for immortal gods), Triton's dethroning of Poseidon and his reign of terror and vendetta against Aquaman. It's up to Aquaman to defeat the megalomaniac god, reclaim his title and restore order in the 7 seas.
