Release

"Skeleton Cases" was originally an over arching back-up story within Detective Comics written by Scott Snyder and drawn by Francesco Francavilla, but starting in 2011, DC Comics cut back-up features in their "Holding the Line at $2.99" campaign. In order to continue the story, Snyder (who was writing Detective Comics' main feature as well) and DC decided to have Detective Comics alternate back and froth between Dick Grayson starring as Batman and Jim Gordon in "Skeleton Cases."
