"Justice League of America" War of the Worlds, 1984
This story arc featured Martian Manhunter returning to Earth to warn the JLA of a Martian plot to invade and conquer Earth, as their planet had been destroyed. It set the stage for what would later be called the Justice League Detroit.

Plot Summary
J'onn J'onzz returns to Earth to warn of a looming invasion by his people, with The Marshal's Hunters in close pursuit. He later joins the Justice League in combating the invasion and defeating the Marshal. Many of the most powerful Justice League members were missing, something that deeply bothers Aquaman.
