The artifacts and participants have been gathered, and the ritual of the Gathering of Five can now take place. Seemingly Madame Web received death, Mattie Franklin received knowledge, Override received immortality, Morris Maxwell received insanity and Norman Osborn received power. But the catch was that these powers doesn't seem what they are at first: what first seemed madness was in fact knowledge, what seemed power was madness and death seemed like immortality.

Who received what:

  • Mattie Franklin - Power
  • Norman Osborn - Insanity
  • Morris Maxwell - Knowledge
  • Gregory Herd - Death
  • Cassandra Webb - Immortality

Alison Mongrain reaches Parker house and reveals that May is alive. Mary Jane and Peter Parker argue if it is true or just a trick by Osborn, but Peter decides to check, otherwise he wouldn't be able to rest. Osborn donned his Green Goblin persona again and went to stop Spider-Man. Spider-Man managed to hold off Norman and find May, but it turned out to be Aunt May not his daughter May. Spider-Man seeks confirmation of her identity with the Fantastic Four and the result come back positive.

Spider-Man confronts Norman Osborn again, and in their fight, the true result of the Gathering of the Five was revealed. Norman had received insanity. He thinks he had killed Spider-Man during the fight, while he was instead webbed up and arrested by the police.

Spider-Man after saving the Bugle building from a collapse and having Aunt May back in his life, Vows to stop being Spider-Man and burned his suit.
