Norman Osborn visits Hamilton Cromwell to see his piece of the artifact, and he reveals a desire to go through with the Gathering of Five ritual. Cromwell, warns him of the dangers and refuses to part with his relic. Norman hired Override to break into the Technomancer building and steal the artifact piece. Override runs into Spider-Man, but manages to escape with the stolen relic. Back at Osborn's Override asks to take part of the Gathering as a payment, to which Osborn agrees.

Norman then meets with Morris Maxwell, who has a piece of the five in his possession. Maxwell agrees to take part of the ritual and brings his piece to Osborn himself.

Norman contacts Madame Web to find a piece of the Gathering artifact for a place in the ritual. Madame Web who is only kept alive by machines agrees to the terms. She contacts Spider-Man for help who brings her the artifact piece, unknowing of its purpose.

Norman is after the final piece from Jeremy Franklin, but is surprised by the one who brought it to him, his daughter Mattie.
