A virus borne in the Microverse threatens the world, and its potency is enough to negate the healing factor of a certain Canadian mutant. When word gets out about Wolverine's new-found vulnerability, the Hand puts a sizeable bounty on their old enemy's head. While the X-Men and SHIELD negotiate with a plague-carrying supervillain known as the Host to deal with the extradimensional virus, Wolverine and Kitty Pryde track the bounty to its source, encountering the likes of Batroc, the Silver Samurai, and Lord Deathstrike among others along the way.
