Creation

The Pantheon of Heroes also known as the Pantheon of Super Heroes, is a 30th century superhero team based on the Legion of Super-Heroes. Even the former Legion of Superheroes artist Dave Cockrum drew the cover for the Pantheon's first story. They made their debut in Big Bang Comics #12.

History

The mighty heroes from the 30th century
The mighty heroes from the 30th century

In the 30th century, Clone Boy, Gravity Girl, Laughing Boy and Jupiter Boy were inspired by Ultra-girl into forming a super team. Soon many more people joined including Ultra-girl herself. The Pantheon than is the premier super hero team of the 30th century and since they were inspired by Ultragirl herself.

At each turn of the year the current members of the Pantheon have a membership drive and hence auditions for new members. This in turn bumps their numbers near into the hundred, with a varying degree of powers and attributes allowing specific units to address several different types of situations.

The original members decided to be based in Ultiman's hometown Empire City. Their headquarters was later located on a space craft and even later a mountainous citadel. They have time traveling technology such as Time Pills which are later changed to Time Belts. This allowed Ultragirl to join the group. She later could come to the group via "time cube"

Their creation is a homage to the 1970s Mike Grell tales and the Five Year Gap Legion. At this time period both Galactic Lad and Snowstar hear a mention of Anglefish and Nature Boy who is now deceased. He and Snowstar talk about how their enemy the Time-Bomber keeps them from traveling in time, and how Clone Boy is his prisoner. These heroes are from 2988, but man a station at the end of time and are destroyed when the Savage Dragon passes through their era.

The Dragon's journey continues to plague the Pantheon in 2969, where we meet Brain Boy and Tele-Girl. Then we catch a glimpse of 2973 and Ghost Girl and the entire Pantheon.
