Mavericks are rogue Reploids in the Mega Man X series
Mavericks is the term used to describe rogue Reploids who have decided to no longer serve, and maybe even harm, humanity. In response, the Maverick Hunters were formed to capture or destroy the Mavericks. Many former Maverick Hunters have become Mavericks themselves.
