The Power Company is a loose-knit gathering of heroes brought together to combat the multiversal threat posed by Earth-Standard’s Cyborilla. Using the technology at his command, as well as with the unwitting aid of Yanisa Kan-Ra, disembodied bride of Earth-HTCG’s Magus Magnus, Professor Bizarre, Cyborilla brought together a diverse group of criminals from across the multiverse to aid him in his quest. He dubbed this group DAMAGE, INC.

Though immensely powerful in his own right, Professor Bizarre decided to fight fire with fire and gather a team of his own multiversal champions to battle Damage, Inc. He dubbed this great coalition The Power Company. And despite these heroes’ unfamiliarity with one another, the team stopped Cyborilla’s initial push.

However, rather than suffering true defeat, Cyborilla had simply divided his forces, striking at two targets, forcing the Power Company to improvise a solution. Fortunately, the hero Crimson Streak, another native of Cyborilla’s own Earth, used technology at his command to summon several additional allies to finally deal Cyborilla and Damage, Inc. a resounding defeat.

With the threat posed by Damage, Inc. now ended, the members of the Power Company chose to remain together to stand guard against any new threats which may originate from outside a universe’s own natural order. Additionally, Bizarre has indicated that the veil between universes (known variably as The Verge, The Median, The Bleed, and other similar names) has weakened, and that threats may increase in frequency and severity. It is because of this that the team has chosen to remain together, though the ranks have undergone some changes as of late.
