Origin
The U.S.S. Enterprise E Crew was mainly composed of the same crew as the U.S.S. Enterprise D. It was put into commission after the destruction of the U.S.S. Enterprise D by a Klingon fighter.
Creation
The Enterprise E was created for the film Star Trek: First Contact, after the Enterprise D was destroyed in Star Trek Generations.
