Their are 7 public guilds on the magical planet of Ciress. Each guild is led by a master who harbors the spirit and memories of all previous masters.

Ciress is a magical planet in the CrossGen universe. It has long been ruled by Guilds, each with a Guild Master. The original guild masters were made immortal when they banished the fallen FIrst Animora to the null zone. They live on as spirits, each accessible to the current guild master.
There are currently 7 public guilds. They are:
Nouveau
Djinn
Enchantress
Tantric
Shaman
Dark Magi
Astral
There was originally one more guild, the Taroc Guild, but it ceased to exist when it's Guild Master, Nalia, sacrificed herself to bind Animora.
It was also revealed that there has always been a hidden guild, the Geometer Guild. However, that Guild is also put to an end with Magus kills their Guild Master, Archemus.
