A.R.G.U.S. is an off shot of Homeland Security that deals primarily with superhuman threats. A.R.G.U.S. was originally founded by Steve Trevor after Darkseid Invasion.

Creation

A.R.G.U.S. made their first appearance in Justice League #7. They were created by Geoff Johns and Gene Ha. They appear to be based on the similar Marvel Universe counterpart SHIELD.

Team History

After the events of Darkseid Invasion of Earth a secret branch of the US Military first led by Steve Trevor offering logistical and combat support to the Justice League. The Justice League decided to break away from Steve who involvement against Graves worried Wonder Woman about Steve safety as the Justice League liaison. This prompted Amanda Waller to become to new liaison for the Justice League and the new Director of A.R.G.U.S.

Currently Amanda and Steve are forming there own Justice League where they find specific individual to battle the current Justice League if they ever pose a problem for the earth.

After the events of Forever Evil, the Justice League of America is disbanded and Amanda Waller and ARGUS are the ones that the public blames for the destruction caused by the Crime Syndicate.

A.R.G.U.S. Rooms.

The Red Room: The largest covert research facility for housing extraterrestrial. unidentified, and classified technology.

The Black Room: The Magic Vault, contains the world most dangerous supernatural artifacts.

The Circus: Is a maximum-security prison detainment facility designed to hold interdimensional threats they like to cal breachers.

The Green Room: Is a panic room made using tesseract technology. Once entered you'll be outside time and space. It can only be open in one spot on the planet by the A.R.G.U.S. key.

The Wonder Room: The rooms purpose is classified by Steve Trevor seems to contain things from his time working with Wonder Woman.

ARGUS appear on the CW show Arrow first introduced through member Lyla Michaels in the episode "Unfinished Business". Since meta-humans do not exist within the Arrow Universe, the title instead stands for Advanced Research Group United Support. It was also revealed that Amanda Waller is in charge of the group.

Beware the Batman

ARGUS is first mentioned in the episode called "Hunted".
