The mob was destroyed by former member Omerta the Silencer, when he murdered almost the entire family at a wedding. Once Franco Bertinelli was dead, Tony "the Gut" took over the gang and tried to rebuild it. A mobster from New Jersey nicknamed Brick Wall, wanted Tony's territory and tried to work out a deal with him. When Tony refused, Brick Wall killed him.
