Bgztlians are a spectral race from the 30th century extra-dimensional planet Bgztl who can phase through solid objects. The most famous Bgztlians are the heroines who have used the name Phantom Girl.

The alien race from the 30th century Bgztlians made there first appearance in the DC Comics series Superboy 216-The Final Eclipse Of Sunboy, March 1976.

History

Original Continuity: New Earth

Phantom Girl shifts from Earth's dimension to the Phantom Zone

The Bgztlians are the native humanoid race of the extra-dimensional planet of Bgztl, a member of the 30th century United Planets. The natives have the innate ability to pass through all sorts of matter, giving them a unique survival ability as a species. Bgztl is located in a shared dimension with the Phantom Zone, making the planet a very curios race. The only member of the race to be able to pass from the Phantom Zone to Earth's dimension is the Legionnaire known as Phantom Girl. she would become an instrumental go between and representative.

Reboot: Earth-247

When the event Zero-Hour occurred the whole history of the Legion of Super-Heroes was rebooted. In this new incarnation so was Bqztl's history. No longer residing in a separate dimension, Bgztl would now a planet who was part of the United Planets and no longer located in the Phantom Zone dimension. This new incarnation would also remake Earth's past recreating it into Earth-247 and tying in the two planets history in a different fashion. In this new reality Bgztlians would be much more common in appearance and Phantom Girl would not be the only Bgztlian seen in the in the new continuity.

Threeboot: Earth Prime

The continuity of the Legion of Super-Heroes was again reinvented into Earth-Prime in this "Threeboot" incarnation. The Bgztlians would this time reside on the planet of Bgztl which would be actually be slightly out of phase with Earth's own dimension. Here Phantom, Girl would again be the only member of the Bgztlian race to be able to cross between the planets dimensions, sometimes shown to be at both planets at once.

Natural Powers and Attributes

All Bgztlians have the innate ability to “phase” rough all manner of matter around them. The natural reflex the pass throng matter from solid, liquid, energy, or gas allows them to remain unharmed by almost any environment.
