Deltans are a highly sexual race and have no body hair except for eyebrows and eyelashes. Their home planet is referred to as 114-Delta V. They are also of Federation members. As a highly sexual race they swear an oath of celibacy when off their home planet believing it to be wrong to have relations with a sexually inferior race. The thought of breaking this directive is an unforgivable breach of ethics.
Creation
The Deltans were created for Star Trek II a television show that was never produced and instead became the first Star Trek movie. Ilia is by far the most prominent Deltan in the Star Trek Universe.
