The Dog Cavalry of Apokolips are beings that ride gigantic demon hounds into the field of battle whereby they hunt down the enemies of Darkseid by tracking their scent. They are armed with Radian Guns.

These hounds of Hades are swift to regain their feet.

After Kara Zor-El arrived on Earth, Darkseid had his minions abduct her where she was brainwashed. This led to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Big Barda travelling to Apokolips to rescue her. Whilst there, Batman made his way to the armory only to be chased down by the a pair of Dog Cavalry soldiers on their mounts. The Dark Knight managed to evade them and entered into the chamber containing the Hellspores only for one of the demon hounds to burst through and swallow Batman. However, Batman detonated some explosives that knocked out the beast and emerged from its mouth whereupon he forced the Apokoliptian rider to remove his armor which he wore in his confrontation with Darkseid himself.
