After being freed from the project Number of the beast in the middle the end of the world, a group of the awoken World War Two-era supervillains teamed together and took over a town called Alice, Iowa; which was renamed as "Malice". He and the other Fearsmiths attacked Gen 13 when the teens came through the town, and left them for dead.
