Background

As all the people of earth-8, the Future Family is based in the Marvel Comics characters, the Fantastic Four in their case. They made their debut in The Multiversity 1. Some of their members were seen before in Final Crisis: Superman Beyond 1.

The name of the members of the Future Family was revealed by its creator Grant Morrison in his column The Multiversity annotations in Morrison' Substack site.

Biography

In the parallel universe know of earth 8, the foursome elemental powered Future Family is a team of super adventurers who explore and dare to challenge the unknown places of their universe. Lead by Frank Future aka Doc Future, he along with the vaporous Ghost Girl, the smiling Golem and stalwart Fireball, had faced together dangers and enemies such as Lord Havok.

However when Lord Havok got access to powerfull item such as the Omni-Gauntlet and the Genesis Egg, the Future Family was uncapable to stopped him to release on their universe the corrupt forces of the Gentry, lead by a corrupted Nix Uotan, Only the opportune help from heroes coming from parallel universes helped the native heroes from earth 8 to defeat and drive out the forces of the Gentry.

Alternate version

The alternate version of the Future Family existed in earth-7. An ultimate version of earth 8, the Essential Future Family of earth 7 fell under the attack of the Gentry, who twisted and killed them, transforming the heroic foursome in part of a nighmarish landscape.
