Kwai
The Kwai are an alien race from the 31st century with exoskeleton armor and insectoid wings. They are able to navigate and "fly" at interstellar speeds in the harsh environment of space with no harm.
History
The Kwai is a nomadic race of humanoid insects who live in the "Second Galaxy," and who were chased and oppressed by the xenophobic Progeny - another insectoid race.
Shikari of the Legion of Super-Heroes is a member of Kwai race. The insect-like Kwai travel across the galaxy gathering resources as they go. On one such occasion Shikari stumbles across the remains of the Legion Outpost, where several Legionnaires are in stasis. She decides to stay with them when the Kwai decide to move on.
Creation
The Kwai appeared in Dc Comics series Legion Lost #1; Legion Lost, May of 2000. They where created by Dan Abnett, Andy Landing, and Olivier Coipel.
Notable Kwai
Shikari: The only member of the Kwai collective to leave their ranks and join the Legion of Super-Heroes of the 31st century.
Reos: A member of the Kwai and known to Shikari.
