Originally Superman intervenes and stops a war on the planet Nyrvn, but the Legion of Super-Heroes inform Superman that he must not interfere with in the war due to future consequences. The Nyrvns abducted Jon Ross (the son of Pete Ross). The Legion of Super-Heroes were reversing the damage done to the Nyrvns by Superman. They noticed the abducted Jon Ross but didn't have any intentions on freeing him due to in the future Jon Ross was to be a great leader in the Nyrvns war.
