A silver age team of interplanetary explorers. They were reintroduced in the new 52 as a group of smugglers.

Their silver age stories were told in a serial format, and thus did not maintain much continuity from one appearance to the next. The modern version seemingly has no ties to the original.
The Star Rovers were a group of friendly rivals that joined together to find adventure. The adventurers found threats that made Earth the target of alien races. The group worked with anonymity because of their independent work status of any of the Earth organizations. The team was made up of three individuals, Karen Sorensen, Rick Purvis and Homer Glint.
New 52
The new group are smugglers. The team smuggles Star Sapphire into Tenebrian Dominion and sell her to the Game. This group is made up of Chunderhead, Weasel, Wide Load and Collateral Damage.
