The Brain-Lords were originally the Brain Globes from the planet Rambat. They tried to conquer Earth by having Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad of the Legion of Super-Heroes from the future attack Superboy. After Superboy was defeated they released the Legionnaires, who noticed the Brain-Lords couldn't control animals. The Legionnaires created the Legion of Super Pets to defeat them. The Brain Lords are next seen ruling the criminal planet Khann along with Demo the Dreadful.
