Greek Mythology

The Furies punish those who commit murder upon one of their own family, harassing them into taking their own lives. Because Morpheus had mercifully helped his son Orpheus die, and because Lyta Hall sought vengeance on him for claiming her own son, Daniel, she was able to utilize the Furies to attack Morpheus.

The Furies in Comics

  • Three witches, with the names of Cynthia, Mildred and Mordred became horrific hosts of the anthology Witching Hour published by DC Comics and Vertigo which personifies this Greek team.
  • Morpheus summoned the Furies to provide answers in Sandman #2
