Xudarians have a long and proud association with the Green Lantern Corps. They are an avian based bi-pedal species from Xudar, characterized by their prominent beaks, head-fins, and small dorsal wings. Xudarians are a scientifically advanced culture that value diplomacy over force. However, Xudarians have proven to be capable fighters when pressed into action.

Tomar Tu was the Lantern assigned to Krypton's space sector. He attempted to save the Kryptonians, but was not fast enough to save them from the destruction of the planet. Years later his son, Tomar Tu takes his place in the Corps along side Hal Jordan.
