As the Plex's domestic militia, the Rangers have the impossible task of keeping the peace in the Plexmalls and the regions they anchor.
The Rangers' are filled mainly by draft, although many - like Reuben Flagg - enlist out of loyalty... or boredom.
Among those who rally to the official Ranger battle cry - "WAKKA-DING-HOY!" - are Henry Chung, who answers to Flagg at Krieger Plexmall, Chicago; Arcadia Driftwood, temporarily reassigned from New Orleans to clean up Brasilia after a scandal; and Daniel Maris, first chief ranger for the newly Plexed region of Western Canada.
